Christmas Letter 2017

To the Pitura/Petura Clan
Once again it is a privilege to be in touch with our Family.  As we become more Senior – it seems life around us – with all the new communication gadgets - passes on quickly!  And we must keep up!
December 10th, 2014.  There was not time to say “good bye” the day you went away – you left us so suddenly three years ago.  This was our Mom, Granny, and Great Granny – “Clara”.  We can cherish her memory and remember as Mom would want – smile – open our eyes. Love and Live on!  As many of you may know, it is not easy and we need Prayers, Strength, and Healing! But as we must be driven as life moves on.  Amen.
I am in good health, as is our family and we give thanks.  We celebrated Thanksgiving Dinner at the Winnipeg Canoe Club together and our many Blessings.
I must give thanks to Corie and Carolynne in keeping my freezer stocked with healthy homemade soup and extra dinners.  Whereas there is a meal plan, I am enjoying my independence and cooking my own meals.
About my winter escape to sunny Arizona – Mom would support me in my efforts with out of country emergency health insurance so that I am able to enjoy our friends, our roses, and community in Fountain of the Sun for about 3 ½ months.  And of course the golf!
Traditional Christmas Eve dinner will be at Barb and Calvin’s at the family farm.  We also hope to attend the church service at Avonlea after a traditional dinner followed by family time and a gift exchange.
Our Christmas Message:                                                                                                                      May you all enjoy the Best of Health and a meaningful Holiday Season with Family and Friends.  May you experience peaceful moments and lasting memories.  The simple blessings of family and friends are those that matter most.  Be thankful for all that we have.
May God Bless
Carl and Clara’s Angels
At 92 years young, Carl, my Dad is the patriarch of the Pitura Family and the last surviving son of Paul and Sophie Pitura who immigrated to Canada in 1901. We are so very proud of what he has and continues to accomplish. ~ Carolynne Pitura
